Dr. Dustin Hunt
Dr. Hunt graduated from Purdue University in 2018. He worked for Smith Veterinary in high school and in the summers of undergrad. He practices small animal medicine and surgery with a strong interest in canine reproduction.
He has dogs (1 Golden Retriever and 1 American Staffordshire Terrier) and 3 cats at home.
Dr. Hannah Peralez
Dr. Peralez grew up in Decatur, Indiana. She graduated from Purdue University with her DVM degree in May 2024.
She is excited to have moved back to Adams County to be near her family and friends. She has a passion for feline medicine, with hopes of becoming a feline specialist in the future. In her free time, she enjoys discovering new parks with her daughters, reading, and spending time with her family.
Joni Bollenbacher, (RVT)
Meghan Johnson, (RVT)
Meghan graduated from Adams Central High School in 2008 and earned her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology from Purdue in 2012. She worked at Smith Vet during high school and part of college. Married in 2015, she and her husband have three boys and live near Monroe with their Mini Poodle, and Standard Poodle.
Valerie Smith, (Office Manager)
Valerie, the youngest daughter of Dr. Madge and Dr. Larry, has been with Smith Veterinary Hospital her entire life, helping wherever needed. Outside of work, she breeds and shows Cardigan Welsh Corgis and enjoys spending time with her ponies, Scotch, Steve, and Doug, and her draft cross mare, Monkey. With a deep love for animals, she’s thrilled to work with you and your pets.
Sherri Emenhiser, Receptionist
Sherri has a passion for both small and large animals. She and her husband, Jay, live on a small farm near Monroe with their four adult children, one son-in-law, and seven grand-doggies. Sherri also enjoys caring for her miniature donkeys, horses, and her own dogs, Trigger (coonhound mix) and Oakley (yorkie mix).
Jenny McIntire, Receptionist
Jen enjoys riding her horse, Ziva Jolena, alongside family and friends, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events. She and her family share their home with a lively group of animals, including 3 dogs, 2 horses, 1 goat, 1 pig, and 3 cats. Jen has also trained her own diabetic alert dog, Denver, who occasionally accompanies her to work. She is married and a proud mom to 3 kids.
